Setting the words of Nainoa Thompson, Eddie Aikau, and Mau Pialug, Foumai’s sweeping choral symphony voyages through decades of Polynesian wayfinding. Journey through the trials and triumphs of the awakening Hawaiian consciousness, the 1976 maiden voyage to Tahiti, the Mālama Honua worldwide voyage, and the dream to “Raise Hawaiki from the sea.” (Eddie Aikau).
