Dane returns to China for the Xi’an Symphony Orchestra for New Year’s Concerts
Dane is thrilled to return to Xi’an Symphony Orchestra for New Year’s Concerts and an Opera Gala in December 2021 and January 2022. Dane has been Principal Conductor of XSO since September 2014. After a forced separation of more than two years due to immigration restrictions both in Australia and China, the orchestra and it’s Principal Conductor were determined to find a way to reunite.
“Xi’an has played a huge role in my professional life and the orchestra is very close to my heart,” said Lam. “We have grown together over the last seven years, worked with an array of international soloists and introduced the ancient city of Xi’an to so many of the great works of classical music. I am elated that, after such a long hiatus, we can continue our journey together.”
